The Salmon and Fiddlehead Festival has been held annually in Doaktown for more than a decade and represents one of the major summertime events on this part of the Southwest Miramichi. It features something for everyone and is guaranteed to provide fun and excitement for the many who use the occasion to "come home" to the Miramichi to catch up with friends and family.
Festival planners work with community businesses and organizations to showcase local talent and attractions. Our Night Light Parade, followed by a spectacular fireworks display, is enormously popular.
Country breakfasts, salmon suppers, canoe runs, old-time bingo, a parade and fireworks on the Miramichi. Who could ask for more?
