Ruby Mary (Murphy) Palmer, wife of the late Sterling Palmer of Tabusintac Nursing Home, Formally of Wishart Point, who passed away at her late residence on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the age of 95.
Born in Riviere du Portage, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Sarah (DeRoches) Murphy. She was a Post Mistress at Wishart’s Point for 25 years, a member of the United Church and The Women’s Institute. She also was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Margie Farrell (late Lee) of Tabusintac, Audrey Mills (Bradley) of Fredericton, Joyce Bock (Wayne) of Niagara Falls and Myrna Bennett (John) of Moncton, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons John and Sterling Jr., her sisters Gladys, Laura and Emma and her brothers Walter, George and Sydney.
Ruby Mary (Murphy) Palmer is resting at St. Andrew’s United Church, Tabusintac, with visitation on Saturday from 12 to 1:30. The Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gerald Blacquiere officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery later in the spring.
In her memory donations may be made to the Tabusintac Nursing Home or St. Andrew’s United Church.
