Verna Elwanda (Mullin) Dunnett

1921-2017

Verna Elwanda (Mullin) Dunnett, wife of the late Eugene Dunnett of Red Bank, NB, passed away on Sunday, March 19th at her residence at the age of 95. Born in Lyttleton, NB, Verna was the daughter of the late Stanley and Bessie (Holmes) Mullin.

Verna was a homemaker and belonged to the Little Southwest Bapist Church, Sillikers.

Verna is survived by three daughters: Jennie Miller (Harry) of Hilltop, NB, Martha Dunnett of Red Bank, NB and Dora MacTavish (Rob) of Douglastown, NB; three sons: Joel Dunnett (Brenda ) of Red Bank, NB, Teddy Dunnett (Hazel) of Hampton, NB and Keith Dunnett (Susan) of Strathadam, NB; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Verna is predeceased by her parents: Stanley and Bessie (Holmes) Mullin; her husband: Eugene Dunnett; two sons: Jerry Dunnett and Stanley Dunnett; infant son: Robert; grandson: Tommy; four sisters: Della MacTavish, Lelya Armstrong, Dora Dickson and Katie Matchett; and half-brother: Stafford Blackmore.

Visitation will take place at Meadows Funeral Home, 150 Northwest Rd., Sunny Corner on Tuesday, March 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will take place at the Little Southwest Baptist Church, Sillikers, on Wednesday, March 22nd at 2 PM with Pastor Raymond Pitcher officiating. Burial will take place in the Lyttleton Baptist Cemetery, later in the spring.

As expressions of sympathy, in Verna’s memory, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program or the Lyttleton Baptist Cemetery Fund.
