Ralph Emerson Taylor
October 23, 1938 – April 10, 2017
Ralph Emerson Taylor of Miramichi, loving husband of Edith (Hodges) Taylor for 58 years, passed away at his residence on Monday, April 10th at the age of 78. Born in Oxford, Nova Scotia he was the son of the late Reverend Harry G. and Mildred (Mollins) Taylor.
Ralph was retired as an Insurance Investment Advisor for Sunlife of Canada. He worked in the insurance business for approximately 35 years in Montreal, Que. Ralph was an avid musician and was a member of the Elgar Choir and sang with the Montreal Symphony. He was also the music coordinator and choir director at Bethel Church in St. Laurent, Que. Boating was another one of Ralph’s passions, sailing Lake Champlain for 15 years. Ralph was an avid gardener and garden designer who also loved nature and photography.
Besides his wife Edith, Ralph is survived by his Godson: Michael Scott Magee of Bedford, NS.
Visitation will be held at The Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Thursday, April 13th from 1 pm until 2:30 pm. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday April 13th at 3 pm with Rev. Kevin Matthews officiating. Burial will take place at the Shediac Bay Community Church Cemetery in Shediac, NB at a later date.
In Ralph’s memory, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or a memorial of ones’ choice.
