Mrs. Dorothy Louise (Lumsden) Howe, wife of the late Gerald Joseph Howe of Cody Street, Miramichi, passed away Thursday morning July 6, 2017 at her late residence, at the age of 82.
Born in Chaplin Island Road, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Amanda (Fleiger) Lumsden. She was a former employee of Brookdale Nurseries for 30 years, a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, and also an avid bingo player.
She is survived by three daughters, Amanda Howe (Sam Doiron) of Miramichi, Starlette Howe (Kevin Arseneau) of PEI, Amy Howe (Robbie Mullin) of Miramichi, five sons, Fred (Theresa) of Maple Glen, Ricky (Maria) of Riverview, Joe (Linda) of Moncton, Gordie Of Miramichi, Allie (Tracey) of Miramichi, one sister, Mable Matchett of Miramichi, two brothers, Alex Lumsden of Milford NS, Eldon Lumsden of Moncton, 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Jean Hubbard, Olive Howe, Margaret Howe, Heather Howe, one brother-in-law, Lester Howe (Myrna), special nephew, Gerald Copp and Goddaughter, Joan Beaudet.
Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by sisters, Annie Wood and Leone McKay, brothers, Doug Fleiger, Robert, Fred, Lloyd, Bill Vince, Herbie, Dickie, , grandson Paul Howe, great grandson D.J.Michaud, great great grandson Laken Keenan.
Mrs. Dorothy Louise (Lumdsen) Howe is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held Monday July 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Michael LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
