Arlene Joan (Case) Donaher, wife of Harold Donaher of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 61. Born in Boiestown, NB she is the daughter of Elizabeth (Allain) Case, of Boiestown, NB and the late Hedley Case.
Arlene was a very dedicated mother and worked at various jobs. Arlene belonged to the Miramichi River Runners, Miramichi Running Club, as well as the Biking Babes. She was also an avid curler.
Besides her husband Harold and mother Elizabeth, Arlene is survived by two daughters: Ashlee of Fredericton, NB and Amanda of Miramichi, NB; one sister: Alana Betts (Murray) of Doaktown, NB; two brothers: Allan Case (Sharon) of Douglastown, NB and Arden Case of Boiestown, NB; two aunts: Joline Munn of Boiestown, NB and Roberta Palmer of Saint John, NB; one uncle: Lee Allain of Sussex, NB; two nieces: Emily Case and Angela Rogers; two nephews: Billy Case and Troy Betts; one great niece Megan Rogers and one great nephew Kyle Rogers.
Arlene was predeceased by her father Hedley Case.
Visitation was held Bell’s Funeral Home, Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Nelson-Miramichi on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11 AM with Father Arnie Hachey officiating and assisted by Father Leon Creamer. Music was by Tyrone Hubbard, Gerald Doiron and Lynn Doyle. Readers and Prayers of the faithful were read by Mary Rawlinson (Friend) and Emily Case (Niece). The eulogy was given by Merita MacMillan & Alana Betts.
Active Pallbearers were: Bake & Merita MacMillan, Ed & Mary Rawlinson, Andy Carruthers, Fern Matchett, Lucy McCray, Marcia Smith, Jan MacDonald & Mary Ann Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers were: Ralph McCray, Neil Matchett, Angele & Ray Dignam, Alex & Tyler Dignam, Heather Russell, Beth McMahon, Dr. Melissa McQuaid, Sharon & Kirby McCracken, Megan & Michael McCracken, Bill & Susan Fry, Dr. John & Daphne McCann, Susan Gaston, Darryl McKinnon, Jerry St. Pierre, Paulette Hunter and Janice Dickson. Guards of Honor were: Miramichi River Runners, Miramichi Running Club & The Biking Babes. Burial in St. Joachim’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Boiestown, NB.
