Roger Dale Gaston was born February 26th, 1958 in Doaktown, NB. Son of the late Lona Agnes Gaston and Floyd Gaston of Doaktown passed away suddenly on Friday, January 5th, 2018 at the age of 59. He is survived by his brothers, Leonard (Susan) of Doaktown, Marshall (Anna) of Miramichi, Sherman (Charline) of Moncton and his sister Marlene Gaston (Bruce) of Sackville. Roger has several nieces and nephews, Christopher (Amy), Dr. Daniel (Alexa), Jessica, Patrick (Karen), Caroline (Michael), Ryan (Rachel) and Tegan (Jeremy); and a great-nephew, Mason. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard.
Roger was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt partridge and deer. He was a great story teller. He could entertain the whole family for hours with his vivid stories. He was the first person to call on if you needed information while visiting the Doaktown area. Roger was a great carpenter and handyman. He loved to help others in need. He spent the majority of his off time helping others with their projects. He was a dedicated employee at the Doaktown Elementary School and worked there for close to 20 years.
The family invites you to join them in celebrating Roger’s life on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown. Donations can be made in his memory to the Doaktown Elementary School Breakfast Program.
