The death of Carla Evis (Taylor) O’Shea, wife of Vincent O’Shea of Boom Road, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the age of 67. Born in Newcastle, NB, Carla was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (McKibbon) Taylor.
Carla was a homemaker and worked at Silviculture. She loved nature and being outdoors and enjoyed Prospecting as a hobby. Carla was a talented artist and painter. She was also a former member of the Miramichi Celtic Pipes and Drums.
Besides her husband Vincent, Carla is survived by two daughters: Erin O’Shea (Laura Tompkins), Tara O’Shea and one son: Kyle O’Shea (Krishna Prince) all of Miramichi, NB; two sisters: Emeline Parsons (Lou) of Boom Road, NB, Joyce Taylor of Miramichi, NB; three brothers: Terry (Trudy) of Strathadam, NB, Michael (Georgina) of Miramichi, NB and Bruce (Mollie) of Matthew Settlement, NB; five grandchildren: Jody, Lily, Jacob, Koby and Kohen ; one great granddaughter: Alyssa and several nieces and nephews.
Carla is predeceased by two sisters: Lois Sutherland and Barbara Taylor.
At Carla’s request, following cremation there will be no visitation or funeral service.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
In Carla’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Vincent stated, “The true size of Carla’s heart is on display at the entrance of the Saint John Regional Hospital.”
