Nitap: Legends of the First Nations Launch Party
The Ni’gweg Collective will be having a Launch Party at the Vogue Theatre June 28th, 2019 to celebrate the release of 4 new animated shorts to be released to the Game App Nitap: Legends of the First Nations.
The Evening will have animation screenings, food, Lakalet (Fry Bread), music, drumming, prizes, art and a chance to meet the storytellers and creators.
We welcome all ages to celebrate with us.
The collective has been working for the past year collecting and animating these stories with the support of Heritage Canada, and the Aboriginal Language Initiative.
This collection of stories are in English and in Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqey languages, told by elders from Pabineau and Woodstock First Nations.
The stories were created here in the Miramichi and Pabineau First Nations.
