The City of Miramichi is updating its Municipal Plan and its “rulebooks” for
development. The current Plan has enabled the City to manage the growth and change it has experienced over the last 7 years, but the City is now ready to embrace a bolder vision that will help it move beyond land use management and into a more proactive and progressive approach to community development.
The City welcomes input from residents in developing the “My Miramichi” Plan and invites you to participate in the public consultation process to discuss the future of Miramichi.
GMRSC Planning Services and the My Miramichi Plan Review Committee will host an open house at the Rodd Miramichi (Cains Room), 1809 Water Street, on Wednesday April 17th. Residents are welcome to drop-in from 4PM to 6PM to get an overview of the project and meet the project team. An Open House (6PM to 8PM) will include presentations and activities designed to generate conversations about what the citizens of Miramichi value about their community and how we can plan for the future.
