New Brunswick Bats: How are they doing?

Join Dr. Donald McAlpine, New Brunswick Museum Curator of Zoology and Head of the Natural History Department, to learn the latest on the status of our seven NB bat species. If you’ve seen bats very infrequently or not at all for the past decade, there is a good reason. The fungus infection white-nose syndrome has devastated populations of three Maritime bat species, including our most common bats. But other bats in the Atlantic region also face threats, and one species seems to be increasing in abundance. This will also be a chance to learn what actions you can take to help bat populations locally.
