Irene Emma Jardine, wife of the late Harold Daniel Jardine of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, formally of Maple Glen, passed away at her late residence on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the age of 79.
Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (Cabel) Lumsden.
She was a housekeeper and baker for the Wandlyn Motel and a member of Maple Glen United Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Toupin of Miramichi, Karen Jardine (Jim Stewart) of Quarryville and Alaina Sheasgreen (Jeff) of Sunny Corner; her son, Kevin (Shelley) of Sunny Corner; her sisters, Anna Chapman of Chaplin Island Road and Stella Lefurgey (Andy) of Hill Top; her brother, Danny Lumsden of Chaplin Island Road; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Colby, Mallory, Haley-Lynn, Isaac and Emily and 2 great grandchildren Denver and Damien.
Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brothers Freddy, Jim and John.
Irene Emma Jardine is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, with visitation on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 2-4 & 7-9.
The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at 2 pm at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, with Reverend Alice Szemök officiating.
Burial will be in the family plot of Maple Glen Cemetery later in the spring.
In her memory, donations to Maple Glen Cemetery Fund or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
