Louis Blaine Gregan (Blaine), of Miramichi, New Brunswick died on March 4, 2019 at Miramichi Senior Citizens Home at age 85 after a series of strokes.
Blaine was born on December 10, 1933 in Hardwicke, New Brunswick to Wright and Irene Gregan (nee Savoy).
He attended Miramichi Rural School, graduating in 1951, and returned to take the first year of grade 12 offered there in 1952.
In 1958 he married Barbara Godfrey of Black River Bridge, since divorced. Together they had 3 children, Larry of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kevin of Charlottetown, PEI, and Brian of Bathurst, New Brunswick.
Blaine began his career at the Bank of Montreal, becoming a branch manager, after which he worked in the insurance and auto glass industries before getting into manufacturing and importing.
Blaine is survived by Larry and Ida-Lynn, Amanda, and Nolan; Kevin and Darlene, Kenzie, and Dustin; Brian and Shirley. Blaine is also survived by three brothers and their families: Bill of Miramichi, New Brunswick, Lorne of Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Bob of Tom’s River, New Jersey.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held this summer.
