Lumina Marie Robichaud, widow of Joseph Robichaud, of Loggieville, N.B. passed away at the age of 91 on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Tracadie, N.B. the daughter of the late Emilie (Savoie) and Frank McGrath.
She was a homemaker, and active in the community, being a founding member of the Loggieville Senior Citizens Club and lifetime member of the Catholic Women’s League.
She loved dancing, bowling, Card games, Knitting, Volunteering,
Gardening and spending time with loved ones.
She is survived by her children; Lynda Washburn (Don), Frankie Robichaud (Diane), David Robichaud (Margie), Paul Robichaud (Sonia), Step-son Alphie Robichaud (Marg) all of the Miramichi, N.B.
She is also survived by her foster children; Dave & Buddy Hallihan, one brother; Gerald McGrath of Windsor ON, two sisters; Antonia Losier of Tracadie, Justina Boudreau of Carquet. Thirteen grandchildren: Lisa (Matthew), Emily (Bill), Eric (Melodie), Monique (Josh), Tony (Maggie), Denise, Jodie (Randy), Joel (Katie), Jillian (Jon), Zachary, Ben (Alyssa), Brenda (Jim), Gary (Linda), nineteen great grandchildren; Luke, Lily, Cole, Everett, Adelyn, Rhea, Ella, William, Annie, Sam, Eve, Maria, Jared, Morgan, Ethan, Rowen, Jeremy, Bradley & Blake. Many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she is predeceased by brothers; Romeo, Gerard, Ronald, Felicien, and a sister Irene.
Lumina Marie Robichaud is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, 35 University Avenue, Miramichi, NB, on Friday March 8, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday March 9, 2019 at Saint Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Loggieville, NB, with Father John Fraser officiating.
