The death of Carmel Mary (Manderville) Hallihan wife of Thomas Hallihan of Pinevile, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the age 61.
Born in Miramichi, NB, Carmel was the daughter of the late William and Stella (Bouchard) Manderville.
Carmel was a homemaker, cook, store clerk and bus driver and also vice president of the Renous Recreation Center and member of Saint Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church Choir.
Carmel was also known for her deliciously prepared home cooked meals for many events at the Renous Recreation Center.
Carmel is survived by three sons: Jeremy (Shana) of Parker Ridge, NB, Danny (Kelly) of Renous, NB and Tommy (Sara) of Miramichi, NB; four sisters: Leola Mahoney, Wilma Sturgeon, Gail Robichaud (Eddie) and Donna Sturgeon (Kevin) all of Renous, NB; one brother: Billy Manderville (Liz) of Blackville, NB; her beloved grandchildren: Jarrod, Kyah, Addison, Kale, Nick, Nate and Henry and several nieces and nephews.
Carmel is predeceased by one sister: Marg Hallihan.
Visitation will be held at Saint Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, NB on Thursday from 7-9 PM and on Friday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 AM from Saint Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, NB with Father Dan Bastarache officiating.
Burial will follow in the Saint Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Renous, NB.
In Carmel’s memory a donation may be made to the NB Extra Mural Program.
