Let's stay healthy by participating in the many free programs for adults and older adults. Click on the title for more information, visit the Doaktown Community School Library’s Facebook page or call the library at 506-365-2018.
Every Monday you may join a game of Mah-jongg at 1:30 pm or on Friday afternoons. On Tuesdays, seniors work on the puzzle while Games @ the Library for Older Adults and Friends is happening in “The Gathering Place.”
You may also "Keep the Ball Rolling" by walking in the gym on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 2:10 pm to 4 pm, doing chair exercises every Tuesday at 1:15 pm or participating in the puzzle making anytime the Library is open.
Besides you may socialize in the Library while sipping on a beverage or find a quiet space to read, knit, work on you embroidery or scrapbook. A puzzle and adult colouring books are always set up and often there's a quilt to work on.
Adults and seniors are invited to become a volunteer with after-school programs, but your talents could also be used for decorating, baking, crafts, reading, gardening and delivering “Books on Wheels” to those you can't get to the Library.
The Library is accessible to all citizens.
