The death of Joseph “Joe” Lawlor of the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home formerly of Strathadam, NB husband of Grace (Matchett) Lawlor occurred at his residence on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the age of 82. Born in Red Bank, NB, Joe was the son of the late James and Marcella (Burns) Lawlor.
Joe was retired from the former Boise Cascade Pulp & Paper Mill as a welder.
Besides his wife Grace, Joe is survived by one son Peter (Christina) Riverview, NB; one sister: Mary Ann Lawlor and one brother: Jimmy both of Red Bank, NB; one granddaughter: Rebecca Mullin-Lawlor of Ottawa, ON also several nieces and nephews;
Joe is predeceased by three sisters: Corinne Lawlor, Carmel Hale and Theresa Sutherland; three brothers: Francis, Aloysius and Ned.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Music was by organist Lynn Manderson and St. Thomas Choir. Readings were by Peter McKibbon with the Prayers of the Faithful read by Anne McDonald. Active Pallbearers were: Jimmy, Patrick, Shawn and Michael Lawlor, Peter McKibbon and Russell Parks.
Burial in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In Joe’s memory a donation may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
