Emile (Clish) Napke
Emile “Clish” Napke, husband of Margaret (MacDonald) Napke of Miramichi, passed away at the Region 7 Hospital on August 11th, 2019, peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born in Windsor, ON, Emile was the son of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Frame) Napke. Emile was a purchasing agent with Repap for 39 years.
Emile enjoyed bowling, bridge, cards and sang with the Men of Harmony and the Church Choir. Emile was also a Grand Knight – Knights of Columbus Council 8381 with 50 years of dedication and contributions.
Emile is survived by nine daughters: Debbie Cook (Lee) of Sarnia, ON, Mary Moar (John), Gay Clark (Ken), Phyllis Sullivan, Simone Napke, Brenda Harper (Daryl), Margaret Conners (Herbie), Paula Napke-Flanagan (Patrick) all of Miramichi, NB and Barb Smith (Bill) of Edmonton, AB; two sons: Nick Napke (Anne) and Michael Napke (Kim), both of Miramichi, NB; one sister: Pauline Napke of Marietta, CA; one brother: Dr. Edward Napke of Ottawa, ON; twenty five grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
Emile is predeceased by his parents: Nicholas and Elizabeth (Frame) Napke and one brother: Maurice Roufael.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Wednesday, August 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 at 11 AM with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in Emile’s memory, donations may be made to the Miramichi Food Bank.
