It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Carman David Silliker of Sillikers, NB. He was the son of the late William and Armina (Matthews) Silliker. Carman was an Electrician retiring from Heath Steele Mines after 34 years.
Besides his loving wife Ruth, Carman is survived by his two daughters: Twila Gilmore (Dale Hamilton) of Miramichi, NB and Melanie Silliker of Lyttleton, NB; three grandchildren: Carol Tozer, Matthew (Cara) Gilmore, and Ruth (Jordan) Ingraham; 12 great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Benjamin, Christina, Lincoln, and Cassandra Tozer, Samuel, William, and Gabriel Gilmore, and Madeline, Caedmon, Ainslie, and Griffin Ingraham, three sisters in law: Carmel Silliker, Arlene Silliker, and Anna Silliker; and many nieces and nephews.
Carman is predeceased by his son-in-law George Gilmore. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by nine brothers: Ingram, Eldon, Seaman, Daniel, Vincent, Willis, Roland, Sterling and Spencer.
The family will receive visitors at the Little Southwest Baptist Church, Sillikers, NB on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Little Southwest Baptist Church on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 3 PM with Pastor Leslie Somers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyttleton Baptist Cemetery.
In Carman’s memory, donations may be made to the Little Southwest Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to a memorial of one’s choice.
