Harold Douglas Sargent Sr. husband of the late Judy Sargent passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday June 27, at the age of 70.
Harold was a lifelong resident of Miramichi and an entrepreneur for many years with “Harold’s Car Care” and then “On Time Delivery”.
Harold or “poppa” was known for his love of Willies Country Roadhouse on satellite radio and even though vascular disease played havoc on his memory he could recall every word to every song. The songs played until the very end.
He is survived by his children Jackie (Chris) Hare, John Daryl (Sally) Estey, Dougie (Laurie) Sargent and Sara Lyn (Jamie) Doyle. His grandchildren who he worshipped, JR and Amy Burns, Jessica and Tyson Sargent, Corey and Jamie Estey and Tyler, Tanner and Teegan Doyle and his great grandchildren Chayce Estey and Benjamin Burns. He also leaves behind siblings, Bill (Sylvia) Sargent, Rick (Carmel) Sargent, Charlie (Doreen) Sargent and Gerry (Doug) Myles, also numerous nieces, nephews and in laws.
He was predeceased by his wife Judy (Murdock) Sargent, his parents Burton and Peggy Sargent and siblings Debbie, Tommy and Rodney Sargent.
Due to the Covis-19 there will be no public visitation. Due to the Covid-19 a family private Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church, Wellington Street, Miramichi, with Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of St. Patrick’s R C Cemetery.
