It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Sonia (Soune) Jimmo, of Escuminac NB, on Thursday September 17 2020, at the Dr George L Dumont Hospital in Moncton NB, at the age of 53, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of André and Claudette (Martin) Daigle of Baie Ste-Anne, NB.
Beside her parents, she will be lovingly remembered by her husband Louis, sisters: Jeannette Thébeau (Martin) of Baie Ste-Anne; Antoinette Daigle (Jacques) of Tracadie, sisters-in-law: Bernetta Cripps (Ray) of Miramichi; Ann Despres (Paul) and Mary McIntyre (Charles) both of Baie Ste-Anne, brothers-in-law: Patrick (June) of Black River; Roy (Colleen) of Miramichi; Anthony (Karen) of New Glasgow, and Donald Doiron (late Corinne) of PEI: Godson, Mathieu Thébeau of Baie Ste-Anne; as well as many nieces and nephews including three she considered her own; Annie, Amy and Luc. She will also be dearly missed by numerous other family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents-in-law, Arthur and Clementine (Robichaud) Jimmo.
Born and raised in Baie Ste-Anne, she grew up caring and loving her community. She would often be seen volunteering at local events and activities as she loved helping others. Soune was a loving, funny and caring woman who loved bingo, music and children, especially her great niece Aubrie and her great nephews Austin, Brian and David, however her biggest love was her family.
Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation. A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ste. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste-Anne at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
